| I am Shawna and the one in the pictures here. The two in the picture in the corner are Raya an 8yr old Jack Russell terrier and Jack a 3yr old Chinese Crested hairless. It is because of these two that Pawz-In -Motion came to be. It started when my husband and I who worked very long hrs felt that the two dogs where spending to much time alone. It became challenging to plan social activities outside of work as we already felt terribly guilty for leaving them alone all day so we started exploring our options. That was when I found out about dog walking and pet sitting services and A.C.P.S.N. I started by having the dogs walked during the day when my schedule was hectic. I was so pleased after the first visit. The pups where still very excited to see us when we got home however now instead of having bottled energy and trying to get us to play with them they where happy to just have us home and I mean happy. We continued to use our pet professional and then felt we should try an overnight something we never did without them unless family stayed with them.I remember being so nervous as was my hubby but once again the experience was a great one for both us and our fur faces. In 2007 My husband and I made the decision to move back to North Bay home for both of us and it was then that I made the decision to start Pawz-In-Motion. I am an animal lover and have had pets my whole life. Growing up our home was often shared with strays and rescues waiting for their forever homes. It is my experience that has validated the fact that not all pets do well in a kennel, it is for that reason that home sits are a non stress alternative to kenneling. I provide care for your pet in the comfort of it's own home. Together we agree on a schedule that coincides with the pets regular routine. Some younger dogs require more one on one and I do make exception on an as needed bases to bring dogs into my home. I have a puppy daycare program for pups up to 5 months of age where crate training is used and basics to house training and socialization. ![]() |
